Spruce With Trunk Support

This tall spruce by Ostheimer is coloured in the most beautiful shades of green. The tree is shaped from one piece of timber and has a small hole at its base where it connects to the supporting base. Connected to the supporting base the spruce stands at 31cm tall and 17cm wide. 

Ostheimer German toymakers have been hand crafting fine natural wooden toys for more than 60 years. All items are sanded, painted with non-toxic stain, and varnished by hand, a process which ensures that each one is absolutely unique. Based on Margarete Ostheimer’s studies of both Waldorf (Steiner) pedagogy and anthroposophy these wooden figures are designed to emphasise the role of imagination in learning.
